| Administration | | Ramsey's 3 R's Repect Responsibility Relationships
Ramsey students give RESPECT, take RESPONSIBILITY, and build RELATIONSHIPS!
Here are some tips for helping your student to be successful at school. Establishing these habits early will help to lead to a good school year.
*Have high expectations for your child. Students need to know that you expect their best efforts.
*Daily attendance is important. Attendance is the biggest contributor to achievement.
*Encourage reading. More reading leads to better reading.
*Create good communications with your child's teachers. Let the teachers know how you can be reached if they have any concerns.
*Set
aside daily time for homework or extra practice. It is important to
schedule time when the temptation is for teenagers to play.
*Talk
to your child about what they did in school each day. Don't settle for
nothing. Try asking "tell me about a book you are reading at school,"
or "show me an example of something that you learned today".
*Use
family activities to support learning. These experiences build skills
and show students that learning is important in real life.
