Students will learn and improve their skill level in both Social Study and study skills. Social Study skills such as interpreting ideas, analyzing perspectives, summarizing, catagorizing, sequencing or timelines, good notetaking. Study skills such as the use of the KWL note taking system, the use of graphic organizers and complete projects. Behavioral expectations are as follows: Students are expected to enter the classroom quietly and sit in their assigned seats with materials out ready to work. Students are expected to be on time. Students that chose to talk and be disruptive will have the following conquences: 1st warning will be verbal 2nd warning will result in a change of seat 3rd warning will result in a school detention 4th warning will be a referal to the office and a call home Homework and grading procedures: Students will be given homework. If you miss class for any reason you are still expected to make-up any missing assignments. Grading Procedures are as follows: 90%-100%=A 80%-89%=B 70%-79%=C 58%-69%=D Below 58%=F
