Ramsey Junior High is now home to the new district middle level immersion program in French.  We are working in collaboration with l’Etoile du Nord French Immersion School to offer students a comfortable transition to middle school and to keep pushing towards bilingualism.

Our students will continue to improve their French literacy skills in language arts and social studies classes. These classes meet the Minnesota standards for World Languages and Social Studies. 

Ramsey is also a IB-MYP school (International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme). IB-MYP is a four year program for grades 7-10, and our partner school is Central High.  Our curriculi are shaped by the IB objectives and language immersion is included under the label Language B.

Immersion students will be grouped together in Advisory (7th grade),  French Language Arts, and Social Studies, where instruction will be delivered in French and where the language of communication is expected to be in French.  Our students will also join the Ramsey community and participate in challenging classes.  Don't forget to explore the panoply of fun learning activities for students to choose from at Ramsey: History Day, Debate, Geography Bee, Sciences Fair, Leadership, and more.  Immersion students can also volunter as a “Mini-Mono” counselor at Concordia Language Villages for French Elementary Week-Ends in Bemidgi.
