As Ramsey has a tradition of being a distinguished music department in the St. Paul school district. There are a lot of fun and challenging performing opportunities at
Ramsey for instrumental music students. The performance classes include: seventh grade Varsity Band, eighth grade Concert Band, String Orchestra, Chamber Ensembles and two Jazz Bands.
Program Highlights Include:
- Music literature for all ensembles is at Grade Level and above.
- Master Classes throughout the year on all instruments.
- Perform throughout the year at various community events.
- Record a "professional" biennial Music Dept. CD
- All Instrumental Music students participate in small group lessons unless excused by director.
