Mr. Bacskai's English classes Mr. Bacskai Greetings! My name is Andrew Bacskai and I'm elated to be a new addition to the esteemed Ramsey English department. (Notice the use of alliteration--among my favorite writing devices.) I teach creative writing, as well as English 8 and English 8 Challenge. Your son or daughter can expect to be challenged, to work collaboratively, and to work with content that's connected to their lives. As for me, I'm a 1991 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I earned a bachelor's degree in journalism. I worked as a writer and editor--mostly for newspapers and magazines--for roughly a dozen years before I decided that it was time for me to help change the world through education. I enrolled in the Hamline University Master of Arts in Teaching program in the fall of 2003 and received my license last summer. I'm thrilled to be teaching in the neighborhood in which I live, along with my bride and our two children. I look forward to working with you all and having an outstanding school year.
