Dan Peace Mr. Peace Welcome to 8th Grade Earth Science. Let me introduce myself. My name is Dan Peace, but at school I will need to be called Mr. Peace. I have had a very diverse background. Before becoming a Middle School Science teach, I was a commercial photographer, a roughneck on an offshore oil rig, a tug boat captain, and a substitute teacher. I liked being the commercial photographer the most before becoming a teacher. While I was a shooter, I traveled all over the world photographing famous people and beautiful places. I worked with major companies, like Target and Holiday Inn, Northwest Airlines and Carnival Cruise Lines. I had a lot of fun, but I missed doing things that made the world better - I just made stuff to sell things. So, I became a teacher. I am currently working on a Masters degree in Science. I am studying the fish in a small stream in Southeastern Minnesota. It is really interesting to do this study and I am learning a lot about fish and how to do research in the field.
