Social Studies: American History/World Geography The 7th/8th grade Social Studies classes are survey courses in American History and World Geography . They are designed to help develop an understanding of the people and places, which have shaped our world. Students will be asked to acquire a basic understanding of history/geography, and be encouraged to apply it to intelligent thinking about current problems (events) in our world, past and present. Social Studies- Geography Humanities Social Studies_Geography Challenge The first semester of social studies is a combination of American history and Geography. It is a survey class where we will study history from the Native Americans up until the 1820s. We will also study the geography of North and South America.
