Social Studies: American History/World Geography The 7th/8th grade Social Studies classes are survey courses in American History and World Geography . They are designed to help develop an understanding of the people and places, which have shaped our world. Students will be asked to acquire a basic understanding of history/geography, and be encouraged to apply it to intelligent thinking about current problems (events) in our world, past and present.
