The Ramsey PTO is Ramsey Junior High’s parent group. The mission of teh PTO is to support the education of students at Ramsey Junior High; to support the staff at Ramsey Junior High in their role as educators; and to build a sense of community among students, parents and staff. The PTO's informal meetings are open to all parents and staff.
Some of the activities initiated by the PTO in the past include:
- The development of by-laws to guide the group in its decision-making and activities;
- A presentation to parents about the developmental tasks of junior high students;
- A presentation to parents about curriculum, graduation standards, small learning communities, and other subjects related to St. Paul Senior High Schools;
- A chili dinner for staff during fall conferences;
- A staff appreciation dinner in the spring;
- A booth a Grand Old Day;
- Supporting Ramsey students in a school clean-up day and a poster contest
